The Learning & Talent Development Manager will play a key role in driving talent development initiatives within the financial services industry. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and managing learning programs and talent development programs to enhance employee capabilities and contribute to organizational growth.

Description
Key Responsibilities Learning & Development Strategy
- Develop and execute the annual training calendar, covering leadership development, functional workshops, and capability-building initiatives
- Conduct training needs analysis through stakeholder engagement and performance insights
- Design and implement competency frameworks, leadership programmes, and succession planning initiatives
Digital Learning & HR Systems
- Drive e-learning initiatives, including rollout, enhancement, and UAT of learning systems
- Work closely with external vendors to optimise the learning platform (LMS) and explore AI-enabled learning solutions
- Support HR system project along with other HR members, including system enhancements, automation, and process improvements
Talent & Leadership Development
- Partner with business leaders and the Talent Review Committee to identify and develop high-potential talent (HiPo)
- Design structured development pathways for emerging leaders and key talent groups
- Embed learning outcomes into performance management and career progression frameworks
Programme Management & Governance
- Manage end-to-end training programmes, including sourcing external vendors for team building, management capability training and leadership programs.
- Track and evaluate training effectiveness and business impact, using data-driven insights
- Oversee training governance, reporting, and budget utilisation
Profile
A successful Learning & Talent Development Manager should have:
- Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Psychology, or related disciplines
- ~10+ years of experience in Learning & Development / Training / Talent Development, preferably within financial services or structured organisations
- Strong understanding of talent development strategies, with the ability to design and implement effective learning programmes aligned to business needs
Proven experience in:
- Competency framework design and leadership development programmes
- Training needs analysis (TNA) and programme execution
- HRIS / LMS implementation, enhancement, or digital learning tools
- Familiarity with learning management systems, e-learning platforms, and digital / AI-enabled training solutions
Skills:
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to drive initiatives end-to-end
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with confidence engaging senior leaders
- A proactive, hands-on, and innovative mindset, comfortable operating as a standalone training lead in a lean environment
- Data-driven, with the ability to measure training effectiveness and translate insights into actions
