AVP - Intermediary sales (Japanese Speaking)

A Hong Kong-based asset management firm is seeking a Japanese‑speaking Intermediary Sales professional to manage and grow distribution relationships with Japanese financial institutions. The role involves supporting asset management product sales and client servicing, with daily communication in Japanese, English, and Chinese while working closely with senior management.

A Hong Kong-based independent asset management group with a long track record in active investing, best known for its expertise in Asian and Greater China equities. The firm serves global institutional and professional investors through a broad range of equity and multi‑asset strategies, supported by in‑house research and disciplined portfolio management.

Description

• Manage and develop distribution relationships with Japanese financial institutions and intermediary channels
• Support sales efforts for asset management products, including client onboarding and ongoing servicing
• Coordinate closely with internal investment and operations teams to ensure smooth execution and high-quality client support
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders in Japanese, English, and Chinese
• Assist in preparing sales materials, reports, and client presentations

Profile

• Fluent Japanese is mandatory
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin required)
• Background in the financial services industry
• HKSI Paper 1 is required
• Prior experience in asset management and/or junior sales is highly preferred
• Open to Japanese nationals or Hong Kong-based candidates
