We are seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in banking and financial services to lead and deliver technology-driven projects. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong.

Description

• Deliver project management and consultancy support across commercial banking initiatives, including system implementations and process re-engineering.
• Lead medium-to-large scale projects, ensuring delivery within agreed scope, timeline and budget.
• Partner closely with business users, operations, IT, audit, legal and compliance to maintain strong project governance.
• Drive project prioritisation across CMB businesses and functions to optimise resource utilisation.
• Oversee portfolio-level budget management, resource allocation and project dependencies.
• Lead change impact, adoption and business readiness assessments to ensure smooth post‑implementation transition.
• Proactively identify risks, issues and interdependencies, recommending practical mitigation strategies.
• Apply latest banking technology trends and best practices to improve efficiency, cost and customer outcomes.
• Foster a high-performing, engaged project team to deliver quality outcomes that exceed stakeholder expectations.
  
  

Profile

• Degree holder with solid banking background and relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in banking, with strong exposure to commercial or business banking operations.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end project delivery, with strong business analysis capability.
• Hands-on experience leading cross-functional initiatives, including account dormancy or similar regulatory-driven projects.
• Confident communicator with demonstrated ability to engage and influence C‑level stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, able to navigate ambiguity and work flexibly across domains.
• Familiarity with lending, payments, wealth, digital banking or customer lifecycle processes is highly advantageous.
• Fluent in English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Strong sense of ownership, service mindset and alignment with HSBC's ways of working.
