Junior Equity PM (Greater China TMT sector focus)

Our client is a well-established and respected Asian asset management firm with a strong presence in Hong Kong. The firm is seeking a high-calibre Junior Portfolio Manager / Senior Equity Research Analyst to join its investment team and play a key role in the management of its Hong Kong-based equity fund, with a core focus on the Greater China Technology sector.

Description

• Conduct in-depth fundamental equity research, including company and industry analysis, to identify investment opportunities aligned with the fund's strategy.
• Contribute to portfolio construction, risk management, trade execution and portfolio rebalancing in response to market and macroeconomic conditions.
• Support and further develop existing investment strategies, leveraging individual sector expertise and investment insights.
• Monitor portfolio holdings, assess performance and risks, and support value-creation initiatives.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models using DCF, comparable analysis and other valuation methodologies.
• Assist with investment due diligence, investment memos and internal investment discussions.
• Support client-related activities, including preparation of fundraising materials, investor reporting and presentations.

Profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in sell-side research or asset management, either as a fundamental analyst or portfolio manager; direct portfolio management exposure preferred.
• Strong coverage experience in Greater China technology equities.
• Excellent financial modeling, analytical and investment judgment skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential.
• Proficient in Bloomberg, Excel and standard financial analysis tools.
• Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to perform under tight deadlines in a team-oriented environment.
