This role will take ownership of supplier development and sourcing activities across designated product categories, with a focus on enhancing supplier capabilities, driving commercial value, and ensuring smooth product delivery.

Description

  • Proactively identify and engage potential suppliers, assessing capabilities and suitability for long-term partnership
  • Lead sourcing activities including quotation exercises and competitive bidding to achieve optimal commercial outcomes
  • Partner closely with internal teams to facilitate product development and ensure projects are delivered on schedule
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance cost efficiency and product standards
  • Support the review and optimisation of product specifications to balance cost, quality, and functionality
  • Collaborate with quality and technical teams to define testing criteria and oversee validation processes
  • Build and maintain effective supplier relationships to ensure alignment with business expectations and compliance standards
  • Track supplier performance and contribute insights to support sourcing and development strategies
  • Coordinate sourcing and development projects from planning through execution, ensuring alignment with business priorities

 

Profile

  • Degree-qualified in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline
  • 5 years of experiences in sourcing, supplier management, or manufacturing-related functions
  • Familiar with supplier selection processes, cost analysis, or procurement activities within a structured environment
  • Exposure to hardgoods,DIY, industrial products, or technical categories will be advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage external stakeholders
  • Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Commercially aware with an interest in cost optimisation and supplier performance
  • Proficient in English and Chinese (both written and spoken)
  • Comfortable using Excel, PowerPoint, and business systems
  • Open to occasional travel within the region
