Role Mission

Strengthen our manufacturing finance operations through precise cost management, reporting, and analysis to drive efficiency and informed strategic decisions.

Role Summary

Joining our 8-member accounting team in a manufacturing-focused environment, you will spearhead cost accounting and support broader financial functions, reporting directly to the Finance Manager.
This role includes one quarterly trip to Cambodia (company transportation provided between airport, factory, and hotel to ensure safety).

Job Description

Build and maintain comprehensive cost accounting systems, including standard costing, variance analysis, and actual cost reviews.
Manage monthly and annual cost closures, handling accruals like expenses, inventory provisions, and related adjustments.
Maintain cost and inventory ledgers (materials, labour, overheads), performing regular reconciliations to the general ledger.
Oversee supplier financial processes, including accounts payable verification, payment term reviews, statement reconciliations, and dispute resolution.
Review cost elements in procurement contracts, contribute to supplier evaluations and price negotiations.
Guide the cost accounting team's daily operations, optimise cost controls, and improve process efficiency.
Assist the Finance Manager with internal audits and ensure compliance with HKFRS and internal policies.

Ideal Candidates

Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent; 5+ years in cost accounting, including 2+ years supervising teams.
Expertise in cost ledgers (job/process costing), accruals (provisions, prepayments, amortisation), advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Peachtree, FileMaker).
Proven supplier management skills, from AP reconciliations and contract tracking to performance assessments.
Familiarity with HKFRS; manufacturing, trading, or retail experience preferred.
Analytical, detail-oriented professional who thrives under pressure and meets tight monthly deadlines.
Fluent in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin, with strong interdepartmental communication and leadership abilities.
Available for occasional travel to Cambodia/China.
