- Our portfolio covers flagship 5‑star hotels, branded residences, signature F&B venues and ultra‑luxury private homes across Hong Kong, Mainland China, APAC, Dubai, and the broader Middle East. We are known for narrative‑driven concepts, meticulous detailing, and timeless spatial compositions that often set, rather than follow, market trends.
- As we build on our established portfolio in APAC, Mainland China, Dubai and the wider Middle East, we are now seeking a commercially sharp, design‑literate Business Development Professional to drive the next phase of growth and secure the next wave of landmark, brand‑defining projects in these markets.
ROLE SUMMARY
- You will lead our business development agenda in Dubai, the Middle East and PRC, working as a key partner to our Design Principals and Creative Directors.
- You will translate our design language and studio vision into compelling pitches, curate the project pipeline, and build long‑term relationships with owners, developers, hotel groups and luxury residential clients.
- This is a senior, front‑of‑house role for someone who can move comfortably between boardroom discussions and design studio critiques.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Craft and execute mid‑ to long‑term business development and sales strategies for APAC, PRC, Dubai and the Middle East, aligned with Company's positioning, design vision and target typologies (hospitality, branded residence, mixed‑use, high‑end residential).
- Proactively identify, qualify and pursue project leads, RFQs/RFPs and invited competitions with hotel groups, developers, operators and UHNWIs, with particular emphasis on PRC, Dubai and key Gulf cities.
- Build, maintain and deepen C‑suite and ownership‑level relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on brand positioning, guest experience and design direction.
- Collaborate closely with Design Directors to shape pitch narratives, project decks, mood presentations and fee proposals that clearly articulate concept, guest journey and commercial value.
- Monitor market movements, brand pipelines and operator strategies in APAC, PRC, Dubai and the Middle East , and feed insights back into our go‑to‑market, target client list and project mix.
- Lead, mentor and upskill the BD / sales team, embedding a studio‑centric, design‑aware, client‑service mindset across all touchpoints.
- Own annual BD budgets, forecasts and revenue targets; manage pipeline, hit‑rate and conversion metrics and drive continuous improvement in win rates.
- Represent the studio at international design fairs, hospitality investment forums, industry awards, brand events and networking platforms in Dubai, the Middle East, PRC and other key hubs.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Marketing, Architecture, Interior Design or related disciplines, with strong affinity to design and the built environment.
- Minimum 8 years’ solid experience in business development or client strategy within interior design, architecture, real estate development, hotel groups or adjacent luxury lifestyle sectors, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record originating and winning high‑value design or consultancy projects in APAC, PRC, Dubai and the wider Middle East (hotel, resort, branded residence or large‑scale residential / mixed‑use).
- Fluent in the language of design: able to read drawings, understand spatial planning, brand guidelines and guest journey, and confidently discuss design intent with both creatives and clients.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; Arabic or other Middle East‑relevant languages will be a strong advantage.
- Strong commercial acumen, comfortable structuring fees, negotiating consultancy agreements and aligning scope, programme and budget with client and operator expectations.
- Natural relationship‑builder and storyteller with the presence to engage owners, asset managers, brand heads and design / technical teams.
- Inspirational team leader who enjoys working in a design studio culture – collaborative, fast‑paced, detail‑oriented and highly visual.
- Willing and able to travel frequently to APAC, PRC, Dubai, other key Middle East cities, and additional strategic markets as opportunities arise.
- 5‑day work week.
- Annual leave: 16 days in the first year, increasing up to 22 days upon longer service.
