ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT (24K-28K X 13) - China co trading minerals & natural resources (Wanchai/5 days)

Company Overview

• We are a China-based trading company focused on mines and mineral resources globally. 
• Our Hong Kong office plays a dual strategic role: it serves as the finance and treasury center of the Group—supporting financial reporting and internal coordination—and also functions as the overseas investment window of the Group, facilitating cross-border investment activities and international financial operations.

Position Summary

• This role is responsible for handling the full set of accounts for the Hong Kong entity. 
• You will report directly to the General Manager of the Hong Kong office, with a functional reporting line to the Head of Finance based in Beijing. 
• This is a Hong Kong-based role with no travel required.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and payment processing
• Maintain and manage full set of account books for the Hong Kong company
• Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting
• Support audit and tax filing documentation
• Coordinate with banks for banking related affairs 
• Perform ad hoc finance tasks as needed

Ideal Candidates

• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2–3 years of accounting or auditing experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel                                                
• Proficient in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
• Responsible, organized, and comfortable working in a small team
• No trips required
