About the Company

We are a fast‑growing US fashion group specializing in ladies’ apparel for major US retailers and brands, including big‑box retailers, discount chains, and brand partners. The group owns and operates its own production facility in Jiangsu, China, enabling close control over quality, lead times, and innovation.
In addition to supplying third‑party retailers, the group also develops and operates its own ladies’ fashion brands, with over 100 standalone and shop‑in‑shop stores across the US.
The New York office serves as the design and sales hub for the US market, working closely with end customers and retail partners.
The Hong Kong office functions as the design and sourcing hub in Asia, linking US design direction with Asian manufacturing and supply chain execution.

Role Mission

To support the design and product development teams by creating accurate, high‑quality CADs that translate concept sketches and technical packs into production‑ready patterns and specifications.
You will play a key role in improving design efficiency, sample accuracy, and speed‑to‑market for the group’s women’s apparel lines.

Role Overview

You will join our Hong Kong design team of 5 members, based in our Hong Kong office.
The role reports to the CAD Design Manager in the New York office and works closely with design, patternmaking, merchandising, and production teams in Hong Kong and China to ensure consistent technical execution from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

Convert hand‑drawn or digital sketches and technical packs into graded CAD patterns and markers for women’s apparel.
Maintain and update CAD libraries (blocks, style files, pattern families) to ensure consistency and brand fit.
Collaborate with design and patternmaking teams to refine garment construction, seam allowances, and fit details.
Liaise with the China production facility to ensure CAD files are production‑ready and compatible with cutting and manufacturing processes.
Support sample development by preparing precise pattern and grading documentation for production and fit sessions.
Standardize CAD workflows and file naming conventions across the group to enhance efficiency and collaboration between Hong Kong and New York.
Assist in pattern and garment corrections based on fit feedback and customer comments.
Perform ad hoc tasks as required by the design and product development departments.

Ideal Candidates

Tertiary education in Fashion Design, Textile, or a related field, with a strong focus on patternmaking and technical design.
At least 3–5 years of CAD design experience in the apparel or fashion industry, preferably in women’s wear.
Proficiency in industry‑standard CAD pattern software; knowledge of 3D CAD tools is a plus.
Strong understanding of garment construction, grading, and marker making; familiarity with mass production constraints.
Ability to handle multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Team player, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Fluent spoken English to communicate effectively with the New York design team.
Proficient in Cantonese and/or Mandarin to communicate clearly with the China factory.
No trips are required.
