Role Summary

• An exceptional opportunity arises for a Commercial Solicitor / Senior Commercial Solicitor (5 PQE) to join our leading TMT (Media & Entertainment) practice. 
• Engage with pre-eminent practitioners on sophisticated, high-value mandates, cultivating specialist expertise and client portfolios with substantial autonomy.

Principal Responsibilities

• Advise on core commercial transactions, encompassing mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and cognate corporate arrangements.
• Provide counsel on specialist media and entertainment matters, including content production and financing, distribution agreements, talent engagements, sports rights administration, and live events structuring.
• Draft, negotiate, and oversee intricate commercial instruments with minimal oversight.
• Navigate concurrent deadlines, prioritise effectively, and furnish commercially astute solutions across dynamic sectors.
• Cultivate enduring client relationships, contributing to business origination and practice expansion.
• Collaborate seamlessly on cross-jurisdictional mandates within our cohesive team.

Ideal Candidate

• 5 years' post-qualification experience as a Hong Kong-qualified solicitor, with robust commercial drafting proficiency.
• Superior command of written and spoken English, Mandarin, and Cantonese, underpinned by exceptional advocacy and communication aptitude.
• Self-reliant, with strong interpersonal acumen, organisational rigour, and no requirement for close supervision.
• Media/entertainment background highly desirable, though not mandatory; versatility in cognate TMT disciplines essential.
• Ambitious orientation towards practice cultivation and partnership trajectory.
